Bealby & Jones Dental Practice is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, Registration Number ZB155553.
The personal data we process (processing includes obtaining the information, using it, storing it, securing it, disclosing it and destroying it) for you includes:
We keep an inventory of personal data we hold on our patients and this is available on request.
We obtain your information directly from you:
We may gain information indirectly from you. This includes via technology and our website, or through online adverts. We collect and use technical data automatically about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect and use this personal data by using cookies and other similar technology.
We may occasionally obtain information from others:
Our website uses two Google services, and both are optional.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) helps us understand how visitors use our website, enabling us to improve our services. It does not identify individual users.
Google Ads lets us measure how well our advertising works — for example, whether someone who clicked one of our adverts went on to request an appointment — and allows Google to show you advertising that is more relevant to you.
Neither service is used unless you choose to accept cookies. If you decline, we still use our own essential cookie to remember that choice.
When you first visit our website, a banner will ask whether you accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies. You can:
Accepting or declining does not affect your ability to browse this site, contact us, or book an appointment.
Our legal basis for setting analytics and advertising cookies is your consent. You can change your preference at any time by clicking Cookie Settings in the footer of any page. This clears your saved choice and asks you again, and withdraws your consent to both analytics and advertising cookies with immediate effect, as required by UK GDPR Article 7(3). Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies will be placed on your device. A small amount of anonymised, aggregated data — with your IP address masked — may still reach Google's servers solely to confirm the opt-out state. This data cannot be used to identify you.

Cookie names and durations for Google's services are set by Google and may change from time to time. Google's current list is available in its own documentation.
For website analytics, Google LLC acts as a data processor on our behalf, handling information about your use of this website according to our instructions. We have enabled IP anonymisation so that your full IP address is never stored by Google.
For advertising, Google LLC acts as a data controller in its own right. It uses data for its own purposes as set out in its privacy policy, and we do not control that use beyond the consent you give and can withdraw at any time.
In both cases, data may be transferred to servers in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Google's privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Deleting cookies will remove your saved preference and the consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
All individuals who have personal data held by them have a right to complain. All complaints concerning personal data should be made in person or in writing as per our complaints policy.
If you have any questions about this privacy notice, or how we collect and use your personal information, you can contact our Data Protection Officer, Ciara Dodd, at ciara.doddbealbyandjones@gmail.co.uk

We obtain specific, unambiguous opt in consent from all patients to whom we send direct marketing information. Marketing can be in the form of SMS, email, post, and social media.
For a new patient, we obtain opt-in consent for referrals to doctors and other healthcare providers. For any existing patient, we ask the patient for consent when they attend for their recall or for treatment.
Patients who have given any opt-in consent have a right to withdraw their consent at any time.
